Approval went to wrong identity

Hi All,

I am facing a very strange error in my demo Instance. I have created an access profile and marked it as requestable and set the approval to source owner. Refer the screenshot below -

This is how the source is configured -

If you notice the source owner is official.Amit

Now when I raise a request for a user XXXX using official.Amit as requester, The request is assigned to some random identity. Refer the screenshot -

I am just hoping that problem statement is clear to you. Any pointer would be highly appreciated

I believe as you are the requester and approver , the request is going to your manager

Hi Amit,

Could you please check if there is any work-reassignment is configured on source owner identity profile ( official.amit) ?
More likely it’s a self approval case for access request. Kindly refer an article shared by @gourab .

This is not assigning to manager, It is using some random logic.

yeah, if you are the source owner - then the approval will not be sent to you. It might check for the first owner/admin or someone else.

If I remember right, it will be assigned to one of the ORG_ADMINs
