Sending the approval request notification to the wrong approver

Hi everyone!

Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays.

I’ve been working with a couple of governance groups and noticed an issue with SailPoint. It seems that SailPoint is sending email notifications to all approvers in a group, except for one. Instead of sending the notification to the intended user, it goes to a completely different person who is not even part of the governance group (neither as an owner nor a member).

This situation is confusing because the users involved are active, don’t share any ID or account, and none of them is the manager of the other.

I’ve already verified through the API that the correct approvers are assigned to this governance group. This wrong user is not part of the group.

Has anyone else encountered a similar issue? If so, what was the workaround?

Check with the target user to whom the notification have to be sent. He/she may reassigned their approvals to someone.

Thank you so much, you were correct. The user had this option enabled to redirect the tasks/workitems.
