What are "Tasks" in ISC?

Hello everyone!

We are facing an issue that I would like to get some clarity on.

We are setting a Manager identity as the owner on each Source. The reason we are setting a Manager is that when a certification is generated for that Source, all MIS and uncorrelated identities are automatically assigned to the Source owner and we required that MIS and uncorrelated identities be assigned to a Manager.

Since we are setting a Manager as the Owner, this then causes the issue we are facing - for Sources that have manual provisioning, all provisioning requests are assigned to the Owner (a Manager) as Tasks that need to be manually fulfilled. Of course, a manager is not the one that we want to do manual provisioning, so now the manager will need to forward all of the Tasks to their provisioning team.

Is there some workaround for this?

We could possibly set all Tasks to be auto-forwarded from the manager to their provisioning person, but we were unsure what all was included under “Tasks”. If “Tasks” is 100% manual provisioning items, then this forwarding could possibly work. But if “Tasks” included things such as Forms, SoD approvals, etc., then we can’t use forwarding.

Any insight into a workaround would be appreciated!

It might be easier to do this the other way around, i.e. set the technical owner as the source owner and forward certifications to the manager.

Oh, genius. I think that would work!

I did confirm that “Tasks” are 100% manual provisioning items.
