Access Request Approvals - Alternate/Delegated approvals

Just curious as how are other organizations handling approval requests when the approver is OOO.

Is there a concept of alternate/backup approvers?

As an admin, it is always possible to “redirect” an approbation to somebody else, through the API (cf. forward-request | SailPoint Developer Community)
An idea in Aha! exists for something more automatic: https://ideas.sailpoint.com/ideas/GOV-I-849.
It is currently under consideration.

You can configure reminder emails, escalations sent to other approvers, and a fallback approver.
