Oracle HCM Cloud SaaS Connector - key based Authentication

Hi Folks,

We are using Oracle HCM Cloud SaaS Connector to integrate with Oracle HCM application. We have been requested to use key based authentication (i.e. we will generate public&private keys, share the public key with app team and use private key to initiate the connections) rather than user name and password based authentication in the connector.

Is it possible with OOTB connector?

@maheshtare in the oracle hcm connector OOTB we have two mechanism for authentication one via API where you can use username and password and for File Transport Authentication you need to provide the PGP key and password

Thanks for the reply. I got it.

However, our ask is slightly different. App team is requesting us as in SailPoint Team to generate the public & private keys and pass that private key during the authentication. Is it possible?

@maheshtare it depends on which team has control to the file server from which the file transfer will take place since oracle hcm will export an encrypted data to the file server they should be giving the keys to you ideally
