Enhancement: Request Center Search Bar Expansion

Description

:bangbang: We’re expanding the fields used in the Request Center search bar to include source name so users can look for entitlements and access profiles by source!

The Details

This change will affect the Access Items page and its filtered sub-pages. A search by source name will return all entitlements and access profiles linked to the source.

Like the name and description options that already exist, the source name search is a full text search, so specifying even part of a source name will return the corresponding results.

When multiple words are entered in the search bar without quotes, each term is applied to all searchable fields (name, description, source name), and any item matching all terms is returned. When quotes are place around the whole search string, the whole phrase must be found in one of those searchable fields.

Important Dates

Planned Release Dates

  • Sandbox for all customers: June 24
  • Production rollout: Week of July 1

What is Next Up?

We’re already working on expansion to support search by application name within the Access Items page and its Access Profiles sub-page. Stay tuned for that update coming soon!

Addendum: The Access Profile work seems to be progressing quickly and may be available for everyone before the end of the production rollout of the source name search expansion. It is currently available in all non-FedRamp sandbox tenants. I’ll keep you posted!

Great News! The access profile/app work got done in all tenants sooner than expected.
The search bar expansion will be rolled out to all tenants by the end of this week, and the Request Center search bar will support search by source name for entitlements and access profiles as well as search by app name for access profiles on the Access Items page and its Access Profiles and Entitlements filtered sub-pages. An in-app announcement will alert your users to this enhancement.
