SailPoint® is excited to announce that Entitlement and Access Profile cards in the Request Center now display the source name, making it easier for users to find the access they need and distinguish between similar access items from multiple systems!
Problem
When customers have similarly or identically named entitlements from multiple systems, users had to click each card to view its details to see the source name for each. This was particularly a common problem for customers who have connected production and non-production systems with identical entitlements.
Solution
With this change, the source name appears directly on the card, so users can see it at a glance and use that information to make their requests more efficiently.
@jennifer_mitchell Is the Source now also searchable within the Entitlements search bar? Because of this shortcoming, I tagged all my requestable entitlements with the source name in the title (i.e. ‘Snowflake - Security Reader’) because without it if you searched ‘Snowflake’ it wouldn’t return anything.
At the same time, there is also a drawback to this, since it increases the size of the tiles with an additional line. I have heard end users mention that not many access items fit their page. I checked this myself and on a regular laptop, with size as default (100%), I can only see 1 access item, and two at a time after scrolling. And this is even without the source and “grants access to:” line. See screenshot
