A new Access Profile—comprising two entitlements from the Active Directory source—has been enabled. When requested and approved, users receive the correct access. However, the Access Profile itself does not appear under the user’s access; only the two entitlements are listed under their entitlements. Provisioning logs show no errors, and both account aggregation and identity processing have completed successfully. I’m unsure why the Access Profile isn’t showing in the identity view. Has anyone encountered this before or know what might be causing it?
Ususally it should show immediately or within some time on the identity under Access. I see many of them are reporting this may be there is something wrong with the tenant. Better check with SailPoint on this via a support ticket. Do you also see it in prod or only in lower environment?
Hey @udayputta only in prod, we haven’t tested the same access profile in sandbox. Thanks for the guidance, I’ll put in a support ticket. I’ve been kicking around different reasons it may be happening, but none of them make sense.
Hi @jared-fox Were you able to get this issue resolved?
Hi Sangeetham,
No, I put in a support ticket and it’s been raised to internal engineering. Still waiting to hear back. After going back and forth with tier 1 support, plus our internal investigation, I really don’t know what to make of this. I’m hoping to hear back from them soon.
It’s not causing any major issues, just worried about reporting, or if I have to use the access profile as part of a workflow at some point. Still, I’d like to know why it’s happening.
@jared-fox Have you tried deleting and creating the access profile again?
Hi Marko,
I considered that approach, but I’d really like to understand why it happened. If it was due to a misconfiguration on our end, I want to make sure we avoid repeating it. Internal engineering still seems to be working through it, which makes me think it may actually be a backend issue. Likewise, if the fix needs to happen on their side, I’d prefer that over simply redoing it.
Hi @jared-fox
I have faced a similar issue but after deleting and recreating it fixed the problem. Not usre what was the exact reason but if you get to know the reason let us know as well. Thanks in advance.
Thank you !
Will do Manish. SailPoint Engineering has been looking into it for a few weeks now. Looks like it remains a mystery. I’m excited to see what they have to say when it’s figured out.
Sure @jared-fox Thanks
The entitlements do show up on the identity section ?
