VA based connector connection Issue

We’re seeing an issue with a source primarily VA based . The first attempt to test the connection often sometimes, but when we retry, the next attempt usually succeeds.

We tried increasing the healthCheckTimeout, but the issue persists.

Any ideas on what might be causing this or how to resolve it?

Was it working well before? or has always been like that?

It was working before .

The VA taking 2-3 attempts for a successive connection is not news to me. There are several reasons why that happens
1/ usually a resource issue. VA is not beefed up enough. Not enough RAM or CPU/Procs. Could also be hardware (or virtual hardware) is going bad
2/ network issue. poor connection between VA and target. On the target, check network adapter especially for SQL adapter, the response may get slow after a while and need an adapter restart. Look at the ethernet transfer rates on the VA and on the target to determine the bottleneck.

You said it was working well before so that leaves 3 possible causes
1/ Something changed on the VA
2/ Something changed in the network
3/ Something changed in the target

If you can tell us what kind of connector is having the issue, we might have other suggestions.

Salesforce , Web Service , Slack etc

It seems like some issue on the sailpoint side and they have fixed from backend .
