User Invitation

Hi All,

  1. User Invitation needs to be sent to the User’s Personal Email Address.
  2. I configured “Automatically to alternate email” Invitation Option in the Identity profile. 3. Still, the email is being sent to the Identity’s Work Email Address when I click on “Invite Identity” from the “Identities” page. Please let me know if there is anything I am missing here.

please check once what is alternate email of identities randomly, to check is it really mapped to alternate email or not

Hi When you use the option invite manually from Identities page it will always go to work email.
The options that you see on the Identity Profile is to automatically send the invitation email when the identities are created or when identities enter a specified lifecycle state. Check this doc for more information.

I checked the alternate Email of the identity and checked the attribute in the Identity profile as well. It is mapped correctly.

If any scenario, if I need to send the Invite Email by clicking on “Invite Identity” option under “Actions” and If it needs to be sent to the personal Email, is there a way to configure this ?

Unfortunately there is no way to do that using this invite option. You may explore workflow option Anjana

As per the configuration that you have the email should be going out to the personal email address.

I did a quick spot check on my tenant & it does indeed send to the user’s personal email address.

  • I have configured as Invite (personal email)
  • Identity has a personal email address and a work email address mapped.
  • By manually clicking on invite identity, the email is sent to the user’s personal email address.
  • NOTE: The events on ISC, will show the work email address of the user, but the email is sent to the personal email only.

This works for me, now that I checked the email. I was confused at first since it kept showing the Work Email in the Events. Thank you so much for the clarification.
