When accessing the documentation for the ISC JDBC Direct Connector, the Troubleshooting section references updating the Application XML, and then provides an XML Example. For ISC, there is no Application XML to update. See the Screenshot for details:

I’ve completed the work in CONDOCS-4227, and the guide has been updated.
Just wanted to add some additional context here in case some one else has the same issue we did. In the troubleshooting section there is a topic regarding and error with Amazon Athena and Databricks. We just set up a connection to Azure Databricks for the first time. When attempting a “Test Connection” or aggregation we were getting a NullPointerException with no other errors. We did a ton of troubleshooting and digging through the logs but only ever found the NullPointer. We never saw the [ ConnectorException ] mentioned. I decided to try the solution mentioned anyway and it resolved the issue for us. We were using Databricks JDBC driver 2.7.1. Not sure if this has changed do to ISC or the Databricks driver update.
