Hi team!
We started using the Slack integration recently: SailPoint For Slack - Compass
To be able to request access and get notifications once requests are approved / completed etc. It works fine in general. However, we noticed that in some notifications that are sent the user’s identity name instead of the displayname is shown, which in our (and probably many other customers) case is not very user friendly. The notification we noticed is problematic is the “Request approved” notification, specifically when it was requested on behalf of someone else. See attached picture where you can see it says behalf of “3323xxxxx” instead of “Marcus Montelius” which you can see is stated in the “Request Submitted” notification above.
To my knowledge this is not something configurable by us? Could this please be changed to show display name instead as it is in other notification? And if so, please make sure to check other notifications as well as this is just what we have noticed so far.

Thanks for reporting this Jesper. I’m trying to find which team owns the slack integration, and I’ll notify them of your findings. I’ll report back here once I have more details.

I tracked it down. There is a support case opened for this: CS0228379. Looks like you’re not the only one experiencing this problem.
Hehe that is my customer who kind of hit a wall first and got referred to expert services…hence I created this post. But I think they were gonna set up a meeting after he explained a bit further so hopefully they take it from there then
Yea, our internal conversation got some attention on it. If you find the support case stalls, let me know and I’ll see about getting some traction on it.
