SailPoint Support as Owner - for Request Approval in ISC

Hi Team,

While requesting an access in ISC we are getting a pause in pending state with approver as SailPoint Support

We did not enable approval required and also there is an identity as source owner who is requesting the access.
How to move forward with this issue?

did app owner request these access? if yes sailpoint will pick any of the admin randomly

Hi @Yashwanti ,

If this is the only issue, you can approve the access request through approval administration.

If this will be an issue going further then please review below from Sailpoint documentation:-

You can optionally enable automatic approval when the configured reviewer is the requester identity. This setting requires an API call with the Update Access Request Configuration endpoint.

  • Automatic approval only applies when the configured reviewer is an identity.

  • If the configured reviewer is a governance group, even if the requester is the only member, automatic approval does not apply.

  • All other configured review levels still apply.

Auto-approval events are detected and audited at the start of a review sequence. Audit logs show auto-approval events even if a request denial by another reviewer ends the review process before the auto-approval would occur.

Hi @Yashwanti ,

Are you looking for automatic approval when the requester is access item owner then configure auto approval either using vs code or API

autoApprovalEnabled turn is flag to true

If approval and reviewers are same it will auto approve
Note : access item owner should be identity governance group won’t work for auto approval
