SailPoint Oracle Writeback is Failing due to 401 and Identity Action ID

Issue,
Oracle Writeback action stop working since 12/28. Last message received was on 12/27/24.

Our Team engaged the SailPoint support team and they recommended to add additional conditions to the Oracle Writeback script, which does not resolve the initial issue.

After further troubleshooting we found the following:
The SailPoint Execution- logs shows that request failed with status 401 which is a
lacks valid authentication credentials for the target resource.
Identity Action - Get ID is failing .
Action: - We updated the configuration with the Oracle password. Test workflow still failed as it is suck at the Identify Action - Get ID

Could you try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Verify Oracle credentials
    Ensure that the Oracle credentials used in the SailPoint configuration are correct. Double-check the username and password to make sure they haven’t expired or been changed.
  • Test authentication outside SailPoint
    Attempt to authenticate with Oracle using the same credentials independently of SailPoint. This can help isolate whether the issue lies with SailPoint or the Oracle system.
  • Network connectivity
    Confirm that there are no network issues preventing SailPoint from reaching the Oracle server. Verify that the connection details in SailPoint are accurate.
