SaaS Connector Aggregation Runs even after termination

What problem are you observing?

SaaS Connector Aggregation runs indefinitely in the backend even after hitting the “Terminate Aggregation” button in the UI. We were testing a custom SaaS Connector and due to faulty code, the aggregation task in the backend is running for more than 100 hours now.

What is the correct behavior?

Terminating the aggregation from UI should stop the aggregation task in the backend.

What product feature is this related to?

This is related to SaaS Connectivity.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  1. Run a SaaS Connector Aggregation
  2. Terminate the aggregation
  3. Go to SailPoint CLI and run the command “sail conn logs tail”
  4. See the aggregation running

We have already opened a support ticket #CS0310357 on this.

What I received from Support is

Please contact your Sales Rep or other SailPoint rep you are working with, since this is Customer support queue.

@colin_mckibben, I still feel that having a kill switch or terminating aggregation from UI should directly stop the running task, which would then save SP resources.

I have had the same issue and to terminate the aggregation completely, I had to restart the cluster.

I’m asking the connector team about this. I’ll report back when I have more information.

And since this are SaaS Connectors, I don’t think we have any option to terminate the aggregation completely

This has been confirmed as a bug. I have created an engineering ticket (PLTCONN-6027) to fix this.
