No Notifications for Manual Invites, Access Requests, and Policy Violations

Hello everyone,

I’m encountering an issue where:

  1. When I manually invite a user, the invitation status shows as “Pending,” but the user does not receive an email invitation.
  2. For access requests, neither the request owner nor the approver is notified.
  3. When a policy is violated, the violation owner is also not receiving notifications.

Is anyone else facing similar issues, or does anyone have solutions or troubleshooting tips?

Thank you!

Has someone set #stop in the subject line of the email template? If so, the email will not send. Check your email templates and see if this has been set.
Also, just in case, check if someone has turned on email redirects

Hi @rohitmisal45 ,

Please validate if the emails are redirected to test address instead of intended recipients under Admin > Global > Email Templates > Settings> select Intended Recipients

Even after selecting intended recipients option, if emails are not being sent then follow below steps for further troubleshooting:

  • Check if email template subjects are starting with either of the word “#stop” or “no_send” or “Stop” which prevents ISC to send emails
  • In the search tab, search using below query and validate email notification events and check if the results are of any help:
type:"USER_MANAGEMENT" AND name:"Send Email"
  • Make sure Identity exceptions are not there for the recipient identities

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
Vijay
