We are working with the client to deploy the VAs into production. When deploying the OVA to a VMware environment within Azure, the VA boots up correctly to the login screen, but i have no keyboard input to log in.
We used the vSphere OVA to perform the deployment. Could this be a problem with the virtualization platform or with the OVA version itself, which may not be compatible with the environment?
Hello Ariel. If the VA has an IP, I would test SSH first and bypass the console issue as suggested by Shawn. vSphere 8.0.3 is within SailPoint’s documented vSphere 8.0+ range, so the version itself does not suggest an OVA issue (VA Requirements).
The symptom is also consistent with a known VMware behavior: Broadcom documents intermittent Linux keyboard failures through the vSphere console and VMRC on 8.x. Worth trying their steps first: check that the console window has focus, toggle Scroll Lock off, and test from another workstation (Broadcom KB 415236).
For SSH, confirm that TCP port 22 is open via the AVS network path. If SSH works, I would treat this as a VMware console/client issue rather than something VA-specific.
