Unable to Log in to SailPoint Virtual Appliance After Deployment in VirtualBox

Hi everyone,

I’m setting up a SailPoint Virtual Appliance (VA) in my ISC Developer Tenant for JDBC testing.

What I’ve done so far:

  • Created a Virtual Appliance Cluster in ISC.

  • Downloaded the latest VA image.

  • Imported the OVA into Oracle VirtualBox on Windows 11.

  • The VA boots successfully and displays the login prompt.

  • Keyboard input is working correctly inside the VM.

Issue:

  • I am unable to log in to the VA.

  • I tried the commonly documented credentials:

    • Username: sailpoint

    • Password: S@ilp0int

  • The login fails with “Login incorrect”.

Environment:

  • ISC Developer Tenant

  • Oracle VirtualBox

  • Windows 11

  • VA image downloaded from the tenant on June 2026

Has anyone recently deployed the latest VA image? Are the default login credentials different in newer versions, or is there an initialization step I’m missing?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Can you make sure are are not typos while typing it should exactly match

Sign in to the VM:

Username: sailpoint

Password: S@ilp0int

Also can you try with putty by SSH’ing VA creds ,see if that resolves your connectivity issue

Please check if the password is entered correctly and try S@ilp0int.

The 0 is the number zero, not the letter(alphabet) O.

I tried multiple times. problem was not reciving anything. its showing empty in cmd. i attached image also

It won’t show anything when you enter password. Instead of copy paste, try to enter the password manually and hit enter
