Description
Admin and end users can now use Harbor Pilot to request access for someone else using natural language. This helps managers and other authorized users complete a common request workflow more quickly without needing to navigate the standard Access Request experience.
Problem
Requesting access on behalf of another user is a common workflow, but the Access Request Agent previously only supported requests for yourself. This forced users back into the traditional UI for a task many infrequent ISC users find confusing and hard to complete.
Solution
Users can explicitly ask Harbor Pilot to request access for another person, identify the correct user through follow-up prompts when needed, and then continue through the access request agent flow. Before submission, Harbor Pilot provides a final summary so the requester can confirm the recipient details.
Who is affected?
Customers who have enabled Harbor Pilot for end users and want authorized users to request access on behalf of others.
Action required
Admins must enable Harbor Pilot for end users and configure who can request access on behalf of others based on their organization’s policies.
