Non-Employee Risk Management is pleased to announce that customers can now analyze their non-employee and assignment data in Identity Security Cloud Access Intelligence Center.
By integrating Non-Employee Risk Management data into Access Intelligence Center’s visualizations and reporting, administrators can gain valuable insights into their non-employee program, enabling proactive governance.
New Capabilities
- Map and sync attributes for non-employee and assignment profile types so the data is available for reporting in Access Intelligence Center.
- Ensure adherence to SailPoint’s best practice data model for Non-Employees and their Assignments to facilitate reporting in Access Intelligence Center.
- Availability of preset reports on non-employee and assignment data in Access Intelligence Center.
Problem
- Customers have expressed the need for more flexibility in reporting capabilities for Non-Employee Risk Management.
- Lack of a best practice data model for representation of Non-Employees and Assignments that facilitates providing the greatest value through the Atlas platform.
Solution
Identity Security Cloud Connection Settings page
- The Identity Security Cloud Connection Settings page, introduced as part of the automated schema creation and syncing initiative, now supports syncing mapped attributes to Access Intelligence Center.
- Reporting on Non-Employee Risk Management data in Access Intelligence Center relies on the mapping completed on the Identity Security Cloud Connection Settings page, and unmapped attributes will affect report outputs.
- The Identity Security Cloud Connection Settings page has two tabs: Non-Employees and Assignments.
- Non-Employees refers to the identities that are managed in NERM.
- An Assignment represents a job function a non-employee is performing for a specified period of time.
- Each tab allows the configuration of different Profile Types to sync with Access Intelligence Center.
- The Non-Employees tab allows an admin to map attributes for any profile type in the Non-Employee category.
- The Assignments tab allows an admin to map attributes for any profile type in the Assignments category.
- Both Non-Employees and Assignments contain Core Attributes and Extended Attributes.
- Core Attributes are synced with Access Intelligence Center.
- Extended Attributes are not synced with Access Intelligence Center. They are only used for source syncing with Identity Security Cloud.
- Once mapping is completed and the Syncing with Access Intelligence Center toggle is enabled, the mapped Non-Employee and Assignment data will be available in Access Intelligence Center within 24 hours.
Non-Employee Risk Management Access Intelligence Dashboard
- Non-Employee Risk Management for Access Intelligence Center includes:
- KPIs for count of Non-Employees, total count of Assignments, and count of Assignments Expiring in X Days.
- 30 days in the default for Assignments Expiring in X Days, and admins can change this value.
- Widgets for non-employee status, assignments approaching expiration in X days, non-employees that have been updated, and non-employees by assignment.
- A details grid with three tabs:
- Non-Employees - Displays details about the non-employee, including their status and the date their information was last updated.
- Assignments - Displays details about assignments including the non-employee associated with the assignment.
- Assignments Expiring in X Days - Displays details about assignments expiring in the timeframe provided by the admin in the Days to Expire filter.
- KPIs for count of Non-Employees, total count of Assignments, and count of Assignments Expiring in X Days.
Who is affected?
- All Identity Security Cloud customers with Access Intelligence Center who have Non-Employee Risk Management
Action Required
Customers with Access Intelligence Center must complete attribute mapping on the Identity Security Cloud Connection Settings page in Non-Employee Risk Management for all person and assignment profile type data they want synced to Access Intelligence Center. Unmapped attributes will affect the quality of reporting in Access Intelligence Center.
