Transitioning to Qlik: The Future of SailPoint Access Risk Management (ARM)
The SailPoint Access Risk Management (ARM) system is a crucial tool for automating the monitoring and management of access risks across enterprises. It effectively minimizes potential breaches and fraud, accelerates remediation processes, and helps identify insider-led security threats.

- No Further Development: There will be no further development, bug fixes, or maintenance for Legacy or Power BI reports.
- Report Availability: After the EOL date, Legacy and Power BI reports will no longer be available on the ARM UI.
- Transition to Qlik: Customers are encouraged to evaluate Qlik reports in a sandbox environment and request activation in their production tenants (through support) before July 1, 2026.
What’s Driving This Change?
In October 2024, we introduced Power BI-based reports for Fiori support within ARM. While we continued to maintain Legacy ARM reports, the goal was to enhance ARM reporting for Fiori applications using the new Power BI technology. However, we encountered significant challenges related to performance, imports, exports, and timeouts with high data volumes. The underlying issues stemmed from Power BI’s limitations, including the absence of an in-memory database, which led to slowness and report crashes.
The New Solution: Qlik
After extensive evaluations and feedback over the past year, we have finalized Qlik as our new reporting technology stack for ARM. This transition promises enhanced flexibility, performance, and stability, allowing us to scale the application effectively.
