Description
The SailPoint Access Risk Management (ARM) system is widely utilized for automating the monitoring and management of access risks across the enterprise. This tool effectively minimizes potential breaches and fraud, accelerates remediation processes, and helps identify insider-led security threats.
ARM includes essential features such as request forms, approval workflows, segregation of duties (SOD) checks, and provisioning capabilities for any SAP systems it governs.
We are announcing the deprecation of the ARM provisioning services for SAP applications that it currently connects to, effective immediately.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we transition away from these services. If you have any questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.
What Does This Mean for Existing Customers?
Current customers utilising the ARM provisioning services can continue to do so without any immediate changes. However, please be aware of the following important points:
- There will be no further development, bug fixes, or maintenance for these services.
- You may continue to use Provisioning in ARM, but after your current contract ends, Provisioning will no longer be available.
- We will announce the end-of-life date for ARM provisioning services soon. Rest assured, we will provide our customers ample time to transition to our alternative solutions.
- There will be no changes or impact to the Emergency Access Provisioning Services of ARM
What’s driving this change?
ARM is becoming more integrated with our Identity Security Cloud (ISC) capabilities. As we work toward a more seamless integration between ISC and ARM, we will reevaluate certain ARM features—such as provisioning—that are already available within ISC. Our goal is to transition to a single solution rather than maintaining a split between ARM and ISC.
This shift ultimately benefits our ARM customers, as you will see enhancements that bring ARM closer to ISC, resulting in a more robust, future-ready, and extensible SailPoint platform that retains key ARM features.
Is ARM going away?
No, we are continuing to invest in ARM while shifting our priorities towards developing a more strategic, unified solution for SAP customers. This solution will encompass identity management, risk analysis, segregation of duties (SOD), access certification, and provisioning capabilities.
Some existing features may transition to ISC or be deprecated if they overlap with our ISC offerings, but our focus remains on providing the best possible experience for our valued customers.
We encourage our customers to reach out regarding our ISC capabilities for SAP integrations and to learn more about how we are facilitating the transition from legacy systems to the new cloud infrastructure. We are closely partnered with SAP to support cloud applications, RISE, and the ongoing use of on-premises solutions.
