NERM Task Reassignment

Hi Everyone,
We have a use case in NERM to reassign tasks (e.g., approvals) when a user is out of office. Currently there doesn’t seem to be a UI functionality for this (not even manually). Is there anyone else who may have had the same use case? How can we handle such a use case?

I don’t think there is any endpoint in NERM to update or modify the approver of the request.

You will have to cancel the existing request and create a new one.

The only other potential solution to this scenario is to utilize the delegation functionality for Lifecycle Admins.

A possible workaround is to create a ‘firefighter’ user role and have all approval actions also include that role as an approver. Then If an issue comes up, an admin can add themselves to that role and handle the approval, then remove themselves from the role. While that can’t reassign the tasks, they can at least take action on them.
