With 2 new NERM deployments with the OOTB configuration set to ISC authentication we can no longer see/access the System → Authentication option (specifically the option noted in the most recent announcement Announcing a change to Activity Timeout
My best guess is something authorization related but just guessing because I don’t see any option for this in the roles configuration. Anyone have any ideas/thoughts?
With ISC Auth, NERM no longer presents the Authentication options within the System settings. That timeout configuration for NERM pulls the data from the configured Session length / expiration in ISC > Admin > Global > Security Settings > Session Mangement .
I corrected my link above, but this is exactly what I was talking about.
I wasn’t aware that the ISC integration effectively hid this option nor was I aware that it used the ISC timeout in this case, so that’s good information.
