In the June 2022 release, an IQService release included the deploy of an UpdateService. Here is the release article

I can’t seem to find any documentation on how UpdateService communicates to retrieve the IQService updates. Does anybody have additional detail on it? Do we need to open up outbound communication from the IQServer to the SailPoint cloud?
We have the same questions. Would love to use the service, but need to go through architecture review board to do so. We need specifics on how updates are triggered and how the binaries are delivered.

Last year release was outdated now as we released a new version last quarter.

Documentation- Updating IQService
For Standalone Deployment - as the IQService and the respective UpdateService are present on the same local machine, no extra ports need to be exposed for communication.
For Load Balancer Deployment - for remote IQService instances to be able to communicate with UpdateService, the port that the UpdateService is listening on, needs to be open for external communication with remote IQService instances.
