Help with creating ServiceNow ticket on CyberArk account provisioning (ISC SDIM)

Hi everyone,

I’m fairly new to SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) and looking for some guidance.

In our ISC tenant, the Service Desk Integration Module (SDIM) is already configured and connected to ServiceNow.
We also have a CyberArk Privilege Cloud (SaaS) source successfully provisioning accounts via the out-of-the-box connector.

Requirement:
Whenever a CyberArk account is provisioned (created), we need to automatically create a ServiceNow ticket for a Key assignment process handled by another team.

I’m trying to understand the best approach to achieve this:

  • Should this be handled through a Workflow (triggered on account creation)?

  • Or should the CyberArk source itself be linked directly to the SDIM integration?

  • Has anyone implemented a similar setup — creating a ServiceNow ticket for specific provisioning events?

Any examples, recommended workflow structure, or configuration tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

workflow is the best approach according to me

I agree, Workflow is the best option. Use the Provisioning Completed trigger (filtering for a create operation and the CyberArk source), and depending on your requirement you could use the built in Manage ServiceNow Ticket action or a HTTP Request.
