Description
What if your team could ask Claude for SailPoint IdentityIQ data in plain language and get trustworthy identity answers in seconds? In this session, I’ll show how to build a practical Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for SailPoint that allows Claude to securely query identity details from IdentityIQ (and optionally IdentityNow) through a single tool interface.
Using a real Python-based project, we’ll walk through how MCP tools are defined, how requests are routed to SailPoint APIs (including a custom IIQ plugin endpoint), and how to run the server locally and connect it to Claude Desktop. We’ll also cover mock mode for safe demos and developer testing, plus configuration patterns that make the server usable across environments.
Attendees will leave with a clear blueprint for turning SailPoint identity data into an AI-ready capability their teams can actually use.
