Our team is thrilled to announce the release of Community AI, our community feature with the potential to transform your identity development! Community AI is an AI assistant to help you in developing identity solutions on the Identity Security Cloud.

What’s great about Innovation being one of SailPoint’s Four I’s is that it happens across the business—not just our product! Built on Anthropic’s Claud 3, our community team came together to build an experience for our users who are actively building on our platform, to assist them on their journey and to drastically speed up development.

Community AI will help your team make better development decisions and increase your efficiency when extending our platform. Community AI allows you to leverage the power of our community’s generative AI models to build out your identity solutions, all in a safe and controlled environment.

What can you can do with SailPoint’s Community AI?

Identity Development

  • Discuss APIs and build out custom API calls - You can interact with Community AI to ask questions about our APIs, from the common to the complex API calls, using languages or request tools of your choice, and get to a custom solution using natural language.

  • Build Transforms – Work with Community AI to understand your sources, explain the ideal end result of your transform, and let Community AI support you by building as you discuss.

  • Generate Workflows – Community AI understands Workflows. You understand your business requirements. Work together to come up with a strategy for an ideal workflow, and watch Community AI give you a strategy and steps for creating your ideal Workflow. Actual workflow-file generation coming soon!

  • Build SaaS Connectors & Connector Customizers – Building connections to sources is one of the biggest challenges in identity, and now you don’t have to do it alone! Work with Community AI to understand your source (either with natural language, or provide an OpenAPI spec), define your outcomes, and watch as Community AI works with you to build connections to your sources faster. Community AI also supports the ability to build Connector Customizers, too!

  • General Identity Discussions (beta) – Not looking to build something from the list above, but still want to discuss SailPoint and identity development with AI, or you just want to have transforms explained to you in the form of a limerick? Give this option a try!

Availability

Community AI is available today to all Expert Ambassador’s in SailPoint’s community Ambassador Program, and we are currently considering availability to others.

This was one of my favorite presentations last week at dev days. I’m really looking forward to putting this through it’s paces and see what we can build with it.

You got me highly excited but lost all of it when I read the Availability section :pensive:

Hopefully we release this soon for all of the users. Actual beneficiaries of this feature would be those who are just starting identitynow development and not the expert ambassadors.

Hey Chirag! We’re working on a full rollout plan over time for our users. Have you been using any other AI resources in your identity work to date?

We are not using any specific AI tool for identitynow or IAM but we have enterprise OpenAI license which we use internally.
I was hoping my teammates would be able to use this new feature and that makes it easier for them to interact with API and transforms. I personally would not be able to take much advantage out of this but this was more for other members of my team. Glad to hear that it would be available for all users.
