Hi,
We set workgroups as owner to the Business Roles, and when some member within the workgroup set a forwarding user, the request not forwarding to the user, but the original member gets the approval request.
For Example: workgroup1 has two member UserA and UserB. UserA set a forward to UserC. When someone request a business role whos owner is workgroup1, then the approval goes to UserA and UserB, but it should go to UserA and UserC.
The forward is working when I put UserA as owner of the Business Role (and not workgroup), in this case Sailpoint forward the request to UserC.
I did not try or check it, but can you check the Notification Setting? I think these are the settings you might check and configure (according to your requirement). If you put Notify members only, or check other options as well. I think it will work in your case.
Forwarding User preferences apply to individual identities, not workgroup.
There is no implementation in place to check the Forwarding User settings for all members of a workgroup.
To address this, create a rule task to periodically scan all workgroups, identify members with Forwarding User preferences, and update workgroup members periodically.
Okay, then in that case it won’t work. Whatever you are seeing is expected behaviour. Meaning, SailPoint will only send work items to the owner mentioned in the role. It only checks if the object is there or no? Means Owner object is there or not. It won’t check if that is workgroup or identity specifically. SailPoint consider them both as owner only, and won’t check if the members of the workgroup has forwarded user or not. So that the only members present in the workgroup will receive it.
If you want to do that for your requirements. I think you can follow as suggested by @Arun-Kumar .
