External triggers and Scheduled triggers type count limit

Hello,

I was trying to look in the Sailpoint documentation to find what is the count limit on triggers of type “external triggers” and “scheduled triggers”.

I know from the event trigger documentation that we are limited to 50 trigger subscriptions for fire and forget trigger types, but external triggers and scheduled triggers do not appear in the list of subscriptions we have, even though we have configured workflows using these triggers.

I would be grateful if someone could tell me if we can (or not) create as many workflows with trigger types “external” or “scheduled” as we want.

Regards,
Nadim

Hello Nadim,

You can have up to 50 subscriptions to each Fire and Forget trigger, and one subscription to each Response Required trigger.

Hello Mehul,

Are Trigger types “external trigger” and “scheduled trigger” considered of type fire and forget?

Hi Nadim,
These trigger types are not subject to the same subscription limit as event triggers. You should be able to create as many workflows as you need using these trigger types without encountering a predefined limit.

Anagha is correct. These two triggers are specific to workflows and don’t follow the same limits as our other event triggers.

Hello Colin and Anagha,

Thank you for the clarification, Is there a predefined limit on the number of workflows themselves?

I’m sorry I forgot to ask this question in my initial post.

Best Regards

At this time, the limit is 100 workflows per tenant.

So it is possible to have 1 subscription on “Access Request Submitted” Event Trigger and 1 subscription on “Access Request Dynamic Approver” Event trigger - simultaneously?

Yes. You can have one subscription for each of those triggers.
