Overview
We are thrilled to announce a significant upgrade to the Resource Selector experience in Data Access Security. Based on direct user feedback, we have redesigned the resource selection interface used in Forensics and other key screens to make finding and selecting resources faster and more intuitive.
Problem
Previously, users navigating the Resource Selector encountered several friction points that slowed down their workflows:

Limited Searchability: There was no option to enter free text to help users quickly search and navigate to a desired resource.

Navigation Constraints: The selection window was very small, making it difficult to navigate through deep or complex folder structures.
Solution: A New “Browse and Select” Experience
To address these challenges, we are introducing a new Browse and Select Resources overlay. This update transforms the resource selection process into a user-friendly experience built to handle large, complex resource structures effortlessly.
Key Features

Expanded, Full-View Modal: A much larger pop-up window provides ample screen real estate, allowing users to view extensive resource trees without feeling cramped.

Free-Text Search: A prominent search bar (“Search by name or path”) at the top of the modal enables immediate navigation to specific resources without manually drilling down through folders.

Intuitive Tree Navigation: A clear, hierarchical tree view allows users to easily expand and collapse major integrations (e.g., AWS, Azure, Box, GDrive, OneDrive) and drill into specific shared or personal drives.
To use, simply navigate to Forensics > Permissions select Attribute: Resource, Operator: Any Of and notice when selecting Value a new overlay opens with the ability to navigate quickly to desired resources.
