Data Access Security now supports certification campaign reminders
The new reminders feature allows certification campaign creators to send weekly email reminders to the assigned campaign reviewers, to encourage them to complete the review before its due date.
Administrators and Compliance Managers responsible for setting up certification campaigns can now reach their review target in time more easily.
What is the Problem?
The review of certification campaigns has to be completed within a set timeframe to comply with regulation. In today’s busy world, employees may forget to conduct their campaign certification reviews due to the demands of their busy schedules. This might lead to delays in campaigns completion and non-compliance fines.
What is the Solution?
Reminders play a crucial role in ensuring that reviews are not overlooked. By setting up reminders, individuals can stay on top of their obligations and ensure that important tasks, such as campaign certification reviews, are completed promptly and efficiently.
These reminders serve as valuable tools to help individuals manage their time effectively amidst the constant demands of their work and daily lives.
Value to users:
Ensure compliance with regulation and avoid non-compliance fines
Campaign creators (e.g, compliance managers, security teams) will find it easier to adhere to compliance certification requirements within set timeframe.
Campaign reviewers (e.g data owners etc.) will find it easier to complete their assigned reviews.
Action Required
No required action to use this feature.

Hi, will general certification campaigns support these reminders?
I tried these two options to create a certification as an admin. Both options failed to show me the functionality on campaign reminders:
1: Go to Admin->Certifications->Campaigns->Create New->Manager or Source Owner Campaign
2: Go to Search->Hit the icon with a checkmark on the left->New Campaign->Identities->Any option to create the certification campaign.
A second remark would be regarding email templates. We customize our email templates such that they match our branding. If SailPoint releases functionality with new email templates in production without allowing us to update (or turn off) the email template beforehand, the end users will get emails that do not fit our branding standards (it mainly contains plain text then) and some end users that we do not want to receive emails will receive them anyway. I think it makes sense that SailPoint allocates a time period between adding the email template to production (allowing us to add our branding to it and to add logic preventing this mail from being send to identities that should not receive (these) emails yet) and activating the email template. All to prevent SailPoint from sending emails that we do not want our end users to receive.
All,
Thank you for your feedback.
This functionality refers to Data Access Security Certifications - SailPoint’s new Data Security SaaS solution. DAS Certifications specialize in granular data access to unstructured data.
We recently added campaign reminders to Data Access Security.
I will certainly relay this feedback to our ISC Certifications team.
