Email reminders in IdentityNow

Hello,
Is it possible to send out a default email reminder to the managers that need to act on a recertification. I know there is the reminder that happens every 7 days, and the ability to manually click on the envelope in the campaign to email a manager individually. If I have 100 managers that have not done anything in the certification it is not practical for the cert admin to do this manually 100 times. Is there a way I can use a template that can be sent to the managers in an automated fashion?

Hi @John0422,

At this time, you can only send individual emails, or let the automatic emails happen every 7 days. There is no option to set a custom email schedule or perform a bulk manual email.

That being said, there are quite a few customers that have asked for this feature in our Ideas Portal, and it looks like it is being planned for development work.

Thanks @colin_mckibben! Here is a link to the Idea - please upvote/comment to give it more visibility. This is a huge problem that needs to be addressed. We are just wrapping up our second run of campaigns in IDN and not only did it take us longer than when we used RSA’s product to get the reviews wrapped up, it caused the team to spend much more time and energy chasing people down to complete them, especially since once the due date has passed it stops sending emails completely.

I spoke with our product team, and email notifications will be receiving a major overhaul that should address the concerns voiced here as well as make email templates/notifications much easier to administer. We’re working on staffing the team that will oversee this overhaul, but this takes time. We’re looking at a solution to this in Q4 of this year.

@colin_mckibben - is it possible to cc user who’s access is being reviewed and user’s manager to certification reminder emails? In general, what’s the best way to add recipients to any email templates from IDN?

Also, have the new features to notifications that were targeted for Q4 2021 released? If so, can you point us to some documentation?
