We are working with the customer on implementing either CAM or CIEM, customer is using identity IQ currently and we have purchased CAM. However, business team is trying to understand on what are the gaps between CAM and CIEM.
Business team is aware on CAM for IIQ and CIEM for IDN but team is looking for exact gaps which CIEM connector does and CAM connector doesn’t do and also vice versa.
We had gone through both documentation but couldn’t get the exact gaps.
The answers will really help the business team to understand.
I had gone through this documentation in past. I don’t have access to second link. However, this is product documentation about CAM and CIEM.
I am looking if there is any doc which mentions about the gaps which CIEM does and CAM doesn’t and vice versa.
For example, the IIQ AAD connector clearly mentions about different entitlements it can be managed through CAM. However, for IDN it doesn’t say anything about this and through CIEM the supported features by Azure Managing entitlements are just group and * azureRoleAssignment. This doc doesn’t anything more than this.
This is not specifically related to answering your question, but you just need to register for an account to see the article. It’s the same account you use in the other SailPoint community, the ideas board, and the support site. Worth creating an account.
Edit: It’s also the same SailPoint Id account you use to log into this site, so you should be able to log in there.
