SailPoint is launching a closed preview program for next-generation mainframe connectors for RACF, ACF2, and Top Secret on z/OS. This version replaces the legacy multi-layered, gateway-based solution with direct, streamlined connectivity.
What is Changing
SailPoint Identity Management products require installing and configuring a Connector Gateway to connect with the mainframe environment. This gateway adds an architectural layer for maintenance and troubleshooting.
The upcoming connector release removes this requirement. Instead of routing through a Connector Gateway, SailPoint Identity Management products connect directly to the SailPoint agent on the mainframe. This release also adds features that improve the security and maintainability of your mainframe integration.
If you are using the current mainframe connector, the new version assists you to migrate your configurations and customizations to ensure a smooth, transparent upgrade for your teams using SailPoint Identity Management products, without disrupting existing operations.
