Integrating SailPoint with RACF

Revised Date: 29 May 2024

Connecting SailPoint to your Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) source allows you to configure the RACF-managed system. The system can aggregate, provision, and monitor RACF activities to update SailPoint in real time with User and password changes.

This is the companion discussion topic for the documentation at https://documentation.sailpoint.com/connectors/ibm/racf/help/integrating_racf/integrating_sailpoint_with_racf.html

The link to RACF LDAP connector leads to nowhere. Please rectify this https://documentation.sailpoint.com/connectors/ibm/racf_ldap/help/integrating_racf_tss_ldap/intro__racf__ldap.html

Hi @mandeepsingh what guide are you trying to access here? When I try to access the Mainframe IBM RACF LDAP guide from VA-Based Connectors the page is resolving correctly. If it doesn’t resolve the first time, try clearing your browser cache.

Hi Ryan, Below are steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to link Identity Security Cloud Connectors - CompassIdentity Security Cloud Connectors - Compass.

  2. click on “RACF LDAP” hyperlink which points to https://documentation.sailpoint.com/connectors/ibm/racf_ldap/help/integrating_racf_tss_ldap/intro__racf__ldap.html

Thanks @mandeepsingh the link on that page needed to be updated. I’ve gone ahead and made that change. The correct URL for that page is Integrating SailPoint with RACF LDAP

Thanks Ryan, Please also correct the below links on both IdenityIQ page (Supported Connectors for IdentityIQ - Compass ) and also on IdentityNow connectors page ( https://community.sailpoint.com/t5/IdentityNow-Connectors/Identity-Security-Cloud-Connectors/ta-p/80019 ):

https://documentation.sailpoint.com/connectors/ibm/ca/topsecret_ldap/help/integrating_racf_tss_ldap/intro_topsecret_ldap.html

as they are also having same issue:

SailPoint Product Documentation

Hi @mandeepsingh. Thank you for helping us improve our documentation. Based on your feedback, we’ve updated our documentation. The RACF LDAP and Top Secret LDAP links on the IdentityIQ and Identity Security Cloud pages should be fixed now.

Thanks, Some more feedback … Please also update below connectors to add something valuable like capabilities, some examples of text formats supported (so that links can be shared with architects/decision makers for asserting product capabilities in comparison with other IGAs).. Right now, the content is so childish.. e.g. “Delimited File source creates a connector that reads account data from a file” and that’s all it says, (which was understood by the name of the connector).. Then, the document dumps reader into a pile of release notes which are not related to the connector, but have everything which ISC has released so far.. Kindly update it to professional standards of an IGA product.

Hi @mandeepsingh please leave comments on the applicable topics. This shouldn’t be treated as a catch all for all feedback you may have on documentation. Please provide more concrete details on the issues you are having with the documentation so we can best know how to update it. I would also like to remind you about the Participation Guidelines for the Developer Portal, in particular the first bullet in #3.
