Ccg update guidelines

Hi all,

quick favor: do we have any guidelines for ccg update. I see the current ccg version is 1088 for which we get notified of the existing ccg version on our environment to be 1077.

Is ccg being updated by SailPoint automatically?

Yes this seems to be pushed by sailpoint automatically , Also i see the update option in VA configuration .

so basically, SailPoint pushes the ccg updates automatically and we have to restart the VAs to have ccg updated, right Vishal?

Yes , I don’t think even we need to restart , It will happen automatically until you want it manually .

Not every time. As Vishal mentioned you do not need to restart. But SailPoint says in the doc that rebooting the Virtual Appliance can resolve most issues. So if you see your VAs are not Healty and the version is not being updated you can reboot once.

Hi Robin, Does CCG version update for you post restart. As ours is not getting updated even after restart, we are troubleshooting logs and other details but any suggestions would be appreciated

sudo update_engine_client -check_for_update

Hi Robin,

I ran this command sudo update_engine_client -check_for_update

Waited for 10 minutes and rebooted the VA and then CCG version got updated.
