Batch request not working

Which IIQ version are you inquiring about?

8.4p2

Share all details about your problem, including any error messages you may have received.

We’ve been experiencing an issue while trying to execute any batch request. When we select the csv file and submit, the page just basically refreshes and unselects the file we chose. When you try to cancel the operation to leave the page, it happens the same thing. That’s only happening with the batch request functionality.

We tried multiple differente files, including files that worked last week, so we believe it’s not an error related to the file format or content.

We’ve looked in multiple logs, and got no errors, we saw some previous posts discussing this issue but they didn’t mention a definitive answer for the solution. One mentioned tomcat permissions in a folder but it doesn’t seem to be our case, because we gave the maximum amount of permissions to the folder and the problem persisted.

@PValarezo have you checked this thread

had to do with tomcat permissions to the folder /appl/tomcat/work/Catalina. Once we gave tomcat the permission to access that folder we were able to upload files and start batch requests

Batch Request not working - IdentityIQ (IIQ) / IIQ Discussion and Questions - SailPoint Developer Community

also please attach your batch file here if possible

Hey Kumar, already checked this thread. And the permission on the folder is correct.

The batch file is correct, and we used it last week and it worked, with the content in this format:

operation,roles,identityName
AddRole,“RoleName”,“UserName”

@PValarezo thanks Pedro, Can u check disk space ?

Disk space it’s ok as well Kumar.

Not sure but give a try by clearing the Cache.

clear IdentityIQ’s cache (Debug > Clear Cache)

if possible, try restarting the application (I assume it is tomcat) server by deleting the content from temp and work folder

The temp and work folders in Tomcat can generally be deleted safely, but with an important caveat:

You MUST stop the Tomcat server before deleting them.

note:
Applications restart should ideally clean up their own temporary files, but sometimes they don’t, or a crash can leave files behind.

@PValarezo pls try without double quotes, as mentioned in doc

Adding Roles by Batch Request

operation, roles, identityName
AddRole, Helpdesk Associate, 222

Just solved the issue, it was related to a recent Tomcat update to the 9.0.106 version. We ended up needing to add a parameter as is mentioned in this page: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/79667827/tomcat-multipart-upload-for-many-attachments-10-not-working-after-update-to-9#comment140517823_79667827

hi Pedro, Hope you are doing well! We have faced similar issue related to a recent upgrade tomcat to the 9.0.106 version. Please help me with the exact parameter changed in tomcat configuration.
