Adding Accounts via Bulk Upload to Non-Employee Source

Good morning / afternoon,

I am not sure if anyone has experienced this issue where we can’t bulk upload (add accounts) to the Non-Employee source.

I followed the steps below but still adding accounts via bulk upload doesn’t seem to work and hence their identity account doesn’t get created.

  • Download the template of non-employee source
  • Add in user details in the respective columns and make sure it doesn’t give me any errors etc. I tried with a single user in the csv list.
  • Then bulk upload the csv list where I get the attached message saying “Your file is being updated. This could take a while, we will email you when it’s complete”.
  • Even waiting for a day or two, still it doesn’t add the account(s) to the non-employee source and hence no identity account gets created.

I can add the accounts manually without any issue. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

Thanks

Do you see a large processing queue on Admin > Dashboard > Monitor? Sometimes that could cause unforeseen delays. But if not, have support team look at the backend for your tenant to identify any background tasks that have not been responding.

Hi @nhassan

May be a good idea to upload fewer accounts first to see if they are getting added. You may also not be see identities if account id attribute does not exist in the file, so may be worth double checking if that attribute is present and properly filled in the csv template.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards
Vikas.

Nope, I can’t see any large processing queue. I uploaded the CSV on Friday afternoon but still even today I can’t see the account added to the source. Then I tried with a different user but still no luck. It seems to be a bug somewhere when bulk adding accounts.

Anyhow, I’ll raise a support ticket to look at the backend for our tenant to check why this isn’t working.

Thanks

I tried this a few times even with a single user added to the CSV list and made sure that all attributes including account Id (as per the source schema) is present but still no luck. I’ll raise a support ticket for this to have a look at the backend side.

Thanks

This issue has now been resolved. Although the bulk upload is done successfully but for some reason it doesn’t create the account if the phone attribute value in the CSV is set to any other phone format than this +44 1234567889 (cell format is set to text). Also, I got the non-employee account upload email.

Thanks
