Walmart Global Tech is hiring a Senior Systems and Infrastructure Engineer focused on SailPoint IdentityIQ within Information Security.
This is a hands-on senior engineering role for someone who wants to build, operate, and scale SailPoint IIQ in one of the largest enterprise identity environments in the world. You’ll work on mission-critical identity governance capabilities that support hundreds of thousands of identities, thousands of applications, and identity sources across corporate, retail, supply chain, cloud, and legacy platforms.
This is not a purely advisory or architecture-only position. We’re looking for an engineer who can own production outcomes, improve platform reliability, automate identity operations, and help deliver scalable, resilient, and auditable identity controls at Walmart scale.
What you’ll work on
You’ll help design, build, operate, and continuously improve Walmart’s SailPoint IdentityIQ platform, including:

Joiner, Mover, Leaver lifecycle workflows

Access request and fulfillment pipelines
-
User Access Reviews and certifications
-
Role models, entitlement governance, and policy enforcement

Segregation of Duties controls and risk scoring
-
IIQ upgrades, patching, hardening, and production support
-
Custom connectors, rules, workflows, APIs, and integrations where out-of-the-box capabilities are not enough
You’ll also work on large-scale integrations between SailPoint IIQ and systems such as Active Directory, Entra ID, Workday, RACF/mainframe, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and internally built authorization systems.
Who we’re looking for
This role is a strong fit for someone with:

Senior-level, hands-on SailPoint IdentityIQ experience in a large or complex enterprise environment

Strong Identity Governance and Administration experience

Java-based enterprise platform experience
-
API, web services, scripting, and custom integration experience
-
Automation experience with tools or languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
-
Systems engineering background across Linux, Windows, application infrastructure, directory services, and cloud platforms

Experience operating mission-critical security platforms with high availability, strict audit requirements, and production reliability expectations
Preferred experience includes retail, Fortune-scale, or global enterprise IAM; RACF or mainframe identity governance; SAP GRC, PAM, or privileged access integrations; cloud IAM and hybrid identity architectures; and DevOps practices applied to security platforms.
