Sync for Some Users for Source

Hi Experts
anyone who has ever done a sync on HRMS
How can i do it without affecting the effective date.
The standard sync does it by updating the account this changes the effective date.

For AD i would like to update the Name of some accounts not all i.e Recently created accounts.

Would a Workflow work for this?

This is likely source system dependent considering “Effective Date” isn’t something that all sources have. Definitely more in line with HRMS (i.e. Workday / SuccessFactors) systems vs AD (or similar).

I think you’ll need to provide some additional specifics on the particular source, attribute(s) being updated and what is happening with “effective date” that it shouldn’t be “now”.

I also want to sync attributed
Display Name only for Users created by IDN.
I have been guided to not impact Older AD accounts created Manually so this filter to Sync is a onetime event for all users from Date X

Opened a ticket
It corrects 3-4 users then updates the 5th its so random
with 5000+ users this means i will affect too many users
