*We are going to upgrade Sailpoint IIQ 8.3p5 to 8.5p1. Below are the main connectors we have in our environment. Will there be any connector compatibility issue we might encounter post upgrade?
*

  1. Active Directory - Direct

2. Delimited File

3. Webservice

4. SQL Loader

5. JDBC

6. G Suite

7. Workday

8. AIX Direct

9. LDAP

10. Linux Direct

@aseelvn07 For the mentioned connectors, they are well supported in the 8.5p1 version. If you are using any third party/external jars for your application, those jars you need to update as per 8.5p1 version.

@neel193 would there be any backward compatibility issue? For example the application connector configurations done (as per 8.3) might have to be reconfigured as per 8.5?

@aseelvn07 I had done it where we had Workday, AD, JDBC, Delimited, GSuite and WebServices, we didn’t have to do any thing.

@neel193 Alright, thanks for confirming me that

Hi @aseelvn07,

As an example, for Active Directory (Direct), there are usually no major compatibility issues when upgrading from 8.3p5 to 8.5p1, provided that you also upgrade the IQService to a version compatible with 8.5p1.

Most issues with AD typically occur if the IQService version is mismatched or if there are changes in security protocols (like TLS settings), so it’s important to validate those after the upgrade.

In general, the best approach is to review the connector-specific upgrade documentation for each connector you are using. SailPoint documents any breaking changes or required updates there, so it should always be your first reference before and after the upgrade.

Thanks.

I would says just check, if there are any classes or methods deprecated or moved , you will have to make the changes appropriately.

There is a plugin which sailpoint provides to check it.

@naveenkumar3 which plugin is this? could you provide more details
