Welcome to the SailPoint Developer community.
First of all, version 8.5 has not been released yet. So, the plan should be to upgrade to 8.4, and then once 8.5 is available, you can upgrade to 8.5.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any videos.
If you can mention your environment details, it will help me to understand your scenario and guide you with specific commands. Please provide:
- Application server
- Database
- Current Java version
- Current patch level
My suggestion is to start the upgrade in a pre-production environment, such as Development and Staging, prior to Production, to assess any issues and risks.

- IdentityIQ 8.5 has not yet been released. The official release is expected by the end of July 2025, so upgrading to IdentityIQ 8.5 is currently not possible.
- To learn about the new features in IdentityIQ 8.5, SailPoint has scheduled a session:
August 14, 2025 | 10:00 a.m. CDT
Register here to explore the new IdentityIQ 8.5 - In the meantime, you can continue practicing and exploring features in your sandbox or personal laptop using versions IdentityIQ 8.3p1 or 8.4.

Now you can download IdentityIQ 8.4 and IdentityIQ8.5 then start your migration in your lower environment if any issues let me know i am happy to help you.
Path forward to 8.5:
IdentityIQ 8.3(current patch level) – > IdentityIQ 8.4 – > IdentityIQ 8.5
