Has anyone encountered a case where in SailPoint Desktop Password Reset (DPR) the label that normally says “Forgot Password” suddenly appears as strange Chinese characters?
We observed this issue only for a few users (out of several thousand employees). For the majority it still correctly displays “Forgot Password”.
Did anyone experience something similar, or know what could cause such behavior? Any hints where to check (language packs, registry keys, Windows regional settings, etc.) would be very helpful.
it usually isn’t SailPoint itself but something on the local machine. If only a few users are affected, I’d check their Windows region/language settings and the non-Unicode language setting first, since mismatches there can cause labels to render in Chinese. Also worth confirming they have the same DPR client build and fonts installed as everyone else.
Please attach the screenshot, which will clarify whether you are referring the sailpoint application login page @ browser or local system login password reset.
If you are talking about local system login page then it is not relevant to sailpoint, rather it is system settings as explained by @malarvanan12
