We are onboarding ACF2 Mainframe connector in ISC and spinning up a new server to install connector gateway. Referring to prerequisites, there are java versions mentioned which are compatible with connector gateway.
According to the current product documentation, the recommended prerequisites specify Oracle JDK 11/17 or OpenLogic JDK 11/17.
The java versions that are mentioned are old and there’s no update of the latest version(list of java versions) supported that we need to have on connector gateway server.
Looking forward for inputs from the implementations where ACF2 is already been onboarded or in the process of implementing to see If the latest Java version is compatible and not causing any issues.
Hello Praveen. For a new ACF2 Connector Gateway setup, I would suggest going with the latest security-patched JDK 17 (Oracle or OpenLogic). SailPoint’s installation guide recommends JDK 11 and 17. Since JDK 17 is still an active LTS release, it is not as dated as it may look.
The on-prem mainframe Connector Gateway is different from the Cloud Connector Gateway (CCG) running on the VA. The recent Java update for CCG does not change the requirements for this gateway.
If you are considering JDK 21 or newer, I would suggest confirming compatibility with SailPoint Support first. For now, I would stick with JDK 17.
