The SailPoint Microsoft Entra SaaS connector now supports the discovery of Microsoft Copilot Studio Agents.
Description
We are excited to announce that the SailPoint Microsoft Entra SaaS connector now supports the discovery of agents from Microsoft Copilot Studio, a platform for building and managing them.
It’s important to note that Microsoft Copilot Studio Agents are part of the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, rather than being standalone Azure resources. They operate across three integrated layers:
- Experience Layer (Copilot Studio): Where the agent is designed and managed.
- Data Layer (Dataverse): Where the agent’s configuration and metadata are stored.
- Identity Layer (Entra ID): Where the agent’s identity is managed for secure authentication and service access.
Every Copilot belongs to a Power Platform environment. The environment determines where to store the agent and which Dataverse database belongs to that environment. Your user account must have specific permissions within the Power Platform Admin Center to view or manage these agents.
High-Level Capabilities
- Discovery of Copilot studio agents along with following information,
- Name, and description of the Agent.
- The Owner of the Agent.
- The status of the agent whether it’s active or inactive.
- Date specific information of Agents such as create and update date.
- List of resource IDs (tools and knowledge bases) associated with the agent.
This enables you to:
- Establish human ownership and accountability for each agent.
- Restrict agent access based on purpose, sensitivity, and real usage.
- Gain visibility into agent permissions and associated risk.
- Take action early - before risk turns into impact.
