Hi ,
Have an existing NERM Workflow for People profile creation, have to insert set attributes here between 4.1 and 4.2 is there any way to do it, or swap 4.3 and 4.4 so set attributes is called before create
Thanks for your response. As part of the demo NERM instance , we were having non employee create workflow with around 30 steps we did few validations as well it was working. When checked again , 4.2 particular step was breaking the flow(below screenshot) and we tried to edit encountered page didnt exist error so had to delete it, now trying to update that particular step to this workflow , because that step was 4.2 with set attribute people id previously ,now I have to insert that part in the existing workflow. without breaking the workflow. I did edit the 4.4 step with set attribute to include people id but its not working as expected since its coming after create.Any inputs Please share.
Additional query how do we make an actionas 3.1 subset of a particular step 3 .Thanks
Hey @SrideviJaya , you can change the flow of the steps by dragging and dropping..
If you want to add an additional step, then first create that action, let that action be present at the top of the workflow, Save the workflow, then drag the action again, at the 4.2 step (Or wherever you want to drop it), and then save it again.
As per my experience, whenever you are changing the flow, Or doing even a little change in workflow, it is best to click Save for each individual step that you are doing.
I mean,
if you create a new step called “Set attrinbute“, and then editied some 2-3 things in it, and then also dragged and dropped it somewhere below the workflow and then if you click on Save, NERM gets confused and does not update the steps properly,
even if in UI it shows that steps are according to what you have added, in the backend it messes up everything.
Hope this suggestion helps.
Thank you,
Vaibhav
What was breaking in step 4.2?
On way you could look at doing it is break out 4.2 into 3 steps to set each attribute. This would allow you focus on the single attribute that is causing the issue and allow you to modify it without impacting the other attributes.
Here is another example of a workflow where I am calculating the Network ID for the user.
Thanks will try and update
Upon editing the 4.2 got the below error so had to delete it, which had set attribute step. Now nonemployee record gets created but without the unique id.so trying to update that part in the existing workflow. back to the original place of 4.2
Please share how can we make a step 4.1 a subset of the main step 4
