**Issue with Second-Level Approval Routing in Access Request Workflow**

Hi Team,

Here’s the scenario: A user requests an access profile on behalf of another user. The access profile is configured to require approval from two levels of reviewers as defined in the Access Request tab:

  1. Reviewer 1 : The manager of the user.
  2. Reviewer 2 : A member of the governance group.

The first level of approval (manager) works as expected. However, during the second level of approval, the request is routed to the governance team as intended but also gets sent to one of our SailPoint admins for approval.

Could anyone explain why this might be happening or guide me on how to troubleshoot this behavior?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @SwatiSharma02 ,

Please find the below screenshot

Hope this helps:)

Thank you!

Yes Right,
But it is saying one of the admins, my confusion is , it will come to all admins or ISC have some criteria in which they assign??

Hi Swati,

Is it the same ISC admin that gets assigned? ISC could be using the fallback approver to assign. You can check who your fallback approver is and set it accordingly using this API:

For more information on fallback approvers, you can find it here:

Thanks!
