ISC Website: Dynamic page <title>s in HTML

Dear community,

I continuously have multiple tabs open, and they all have the same title, which makes it hard to quickly jump for one to the other:

Browser history:

Does anyone have a solution for this? I’ve tried a couple of months ago to create a Firefox plugin to dynamically update the title, but as the website is composed of different technologies it didn’t work 100% reliably and I didn’t find the time to work on it.

I’ve seen there was an idea suggested ( https://ideas.sailpoint.com/ideas/GOV-I-2310 ), but there is no real feedback at least to understand why this wasn’t implemented from the beginning.
I am not sure that I know of another website that doesn’t use the HTML <title> feature.

If this bothers you, feel free to upvote the idea, although I am not sure if that helps.

Best regards,
Andrei

Hi Andrei,

Unfortunately, i do not think there is any standard way of achieving but we have a similar topic presented at developer day 2024 by Angelo and he showed us way how we can achieve. Perhaps you can have a look and see if that help you.

NOTE-> The demo was consisting of three topics i believe and all of them were quite useful but feel free to skip the video to directly go to the part (forward video till 11:40 minutes) where he showed us how we can use tamperMonkey to achieve such requirements.

I hope this information helps you. Please let me know if you need more information.

Regards
Vikas.

Hey, that’s my idea! I’m glad to see people are paying more attention.

The idea just turned a year old in February and it’s been a joy watching it grow up. Most recently, it took its first steps and I’ve never been a more proud idea creator. I only hope as my other ideas age they can be as enjoyable as this one

In all seriousness: the fact is that ideas require votes on the ideas board to get traction, so we just have to get people to pay attention to it and vote for it
