ISC SAP Descriptions Language Issue

Hello everyone,

I am facing an issue with the SAP integration in SailPoint IdentityNow, related to the update of group (entitlement) descriptions.

Within the SAP connector configuration, the Client Language parameter is set to “P”, which corresponds to Portuguese and should be used to read the descriptions. However, the connector continues to return the descriptions only in English.

After discussing this with the SAP team, I identified that, internally, SAP stores descriptions in separate tables per language. Based on this, I concluded that only the EN language is being considered during the aggregation process. As a result, entitlements that do not have an English description populated even if they have a Portuguese description are returned to SailPoint with an empty description.

Has anyone experienced a similar scenario or knows if there is any additional configuration in the SAP connector that ensures descriptions are read according to the configured language?

set connector_descriptionLanguage to your SAP language key (e.g., Portuguese) on the Source, then re-run Account-Group aggregation. check this

@amrdodani, thank you for your response. I followed the troubleshooting documentation exactly and attempted to execute the request as described (POST /api/source/update/); however, the endpoint does not return a successful response and instead returns the error “No message available”. I also reviewed the official SailPoint API documentation and could not find this endpoint or any reference to supporting the connector_descriptionLanguage parameter for updating a Source via API.
